I cannot understand how people dismiss India as a travel destination. I simply can’t wait to travel here. I want to spend a month exploring everything India has to offer. The extensive history, smells, flavors, colors, land and people. We have talked to Australians who claim its one of the most amazing places in the world. Yes, there is poverty, a lot of it. But some of my favorite destinations have been third world. I’ve met some of the happiest people in these places. They seem to be content with what they have, they don’t miss what they don’t know. It’s refreshing. And once you get out of the big cities you get to experience a culture so far removed from our own.

It’s the first time I have been away from home on Mothers Day and I feel sad being away from my mom. I miss getting our nails done and having a leisurly lunch after with a few glasses of wine. I miss the mornings we used to stop for coffee & muffins and then continue on our way to the farm to ride our horses, rain or shine. I miss our impromptu shopping sprees and our long talks about life. So here are a few things that remind me of the most amazing woman in my life, my mom!

I have been dreaming about castles. They seems so far removed from my every day life. I really want to walk through the cooridors and run my hand along the stone walls.

Sunset and Sunrise

The other night Austen and I saw a gorgeous sunset. Bright beams of pink and orange filled the sky only to be interrupted by soft white clouds. We always make it a point to see sunset and sunrise while we are traveling. I realized I have had the opportunity to see some really incredible sunsets and sunrises worldwide, and I thought, I should share our moments.
